In terms of being better able to work, we need to move and be diligent. We cannot idle, for the idler shall not eat the food nor wear the garments of the laborer. Avoid sitting around, prioritize your time, and do that which is most important.

Humanity was made weak that they may search and yearn for strength, they just know not where to find it.
- Things the Lord taught me

Have faith in God's ministers. When a bishop speaks to you by the Spirit, he is speaking as if Christ himself were speaking. The Spirit will testify to you whether or not he speaks the truth. Go thy way, have great faith. Amen

- The Lord (to me)

Even after the Lamanites slaughtered the Nephites in numerous occasions, after eventually being defeated by the Nephites, the Nephites spared them and exercised great mercy by merely sending them back to their homelands in peace.

I LOVE THAT!!!!!

If you knowingly neglect things of the spirit, then you neglect yourself, temporally and spiritually.
The opposite is also true. The Lord provides for his saints, and sinners, but it's a lot easier for him to pour you a blessing when you make him room.

A stable home is where the heart is, so learn to provide for yourself & for your family. Amen.
- The Lord (to me)

Living faithfully doesn't make you immune to pain, trail, or hardship.

If you treat others, namely those beneath you in some capacity, with respect, trust, confidence, and responsibility seemingly greater than they are, they will often assume the role or more easily assume greater self worth and responsibility.
- The Lord (to me)

(The adverse is also true as well.)

When you're following the commandments of the Lord, doing all you can, and things start getting hard or things start going into disarray, don't start doubting the Lord's promises to you.
These troubles and challenges are literally given to you by the Lord just to test your patience.
There is almost ALWAYS a hurdle or two before the finish line. Endure it well and the Lord will bless you.

You can't help others at a greater capacity unless you yourself are on solid ground. Get and keep a job, be self-reliant, and do go on a mission when you're ready!
 - These are the words of the Lord unto me concerning helping others. We are commanded to become self-reliant. Commanded to become self-reliant, not merely suggested. Be self reliant, and serve while you do it AND while your figuring it out.

Create a system or organization with the intent of ending poverty, or maybe more easily ending homelessness as it happens?

- The Lord (to me)

I've recently been inspired to find or create a means by which I could do a LOT of good!
"These ideas are put into your head for a REASON.
You are no longer a boy. NOW is the time to begin serving, now is the time to 'put away childish things' and begin doing everything you can, using your talents, and creating a greater means by which you can save others." - The Lord (to me)
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
- 1 Corinthians 13:11 on charity.
Become a man and put away the childish things that maim you and keep you from your full potential.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Nobody will listen to you until you listen to them. Of course we should listen to people because we love them, not because we want them to listen to us.

- The Lord (to me)

There may be many things you think you need to correct or condemn in your family or friendships, and many of them do need to be corrected, but focus much more on what your family and friends are doing right, and the positive things about them WELL BEFORE you start condemning them. You should also LISTEN to them and respect them, because 1st, they deserve it, and 2nd, how would Christ treat you? Is he patient? Does he listen? Is he understanding? Is he MERCIFUL? Does he applaud you? Does he cheer for you? Mourn with you? Is he patient with your weakness? Does he push you harder than you're capable or harder than He should? Treat your family and friends the way Christ treats othes, for the way you treat others will be the way God treats you.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Learn to treat others, especially your family, with dignity, respect, and love & kindness. Also learn to always correct any mistakes or wrongs or even supposed or misunderstood wrongs IMMEDIATELY afterwards, if not just avoid wronging anyone in general.

All that we have is the Lords, and we need to be willing to give him that if and when He requires it, but at the same time, He promises us that all that He has is ours.
So what loss is there in doing good and giving to the poor?

This applies to many of mans various abilities, but thinking over one that's applicable to MY life:
We Christians believe that THE most persuasive medium out there is the Holy Ghost. Nothing inspires the heart more, nothing changes men quicker, and nothing on earth can pierce the heart and mind like the Spirit, not art, not music, not even a loaded gun.
Now then; Art and music, without a knowledge of God, is one of mans most persuasive and effective tools at communicating. Used properly, it can make anyone feel anything you put your heart into. It's like bottling up an emotion or message, and having someone else drink it. This is primarily because art and music speaks to the heart, whereas all other mediums of persuasion speak the the heavily filtered, regulated, barricaded, and opinionated mind.
But that said, when we take art and the Spirit, and bring them together, what do we have?
If art could be comparable to a window into ones soul, then couples with the Spirit, we would have (according to the will of God) a literal window into the heart and mind of God.

That said, with great power comes great responsibility. Where much is given, much is required. A man isn't given riches to merely only self-indulge, a man is given riches to do great good.

This applies to just one field of talent, but we all have (in a way) been given great riches.
I can only wonder how great of a calling we've been given, how much should be required of us, and how much good we could do.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
